Wild Camping for Groups

Getting Back to Nature

Our Wild Camp Ground is the perfect place to disconnect from the stresses of life and reconnect with nature.

We specialize in hosting groups so our minimum booking requirement is 10 people (maximum 200). We have two campsites – East Side and Wild West – each with an individual capacity of 75 people. You book one or both sites depending on the size of your group. We only accept one group per site so you have exclusive use of the areas you book.

An Idyll in the Mendips

An abundance of wildlife thrives in the area. Birds include buzzards, sparrow hawks, lesser spotted woodpeckers, tawny and barn owls, as well as finches, great tits, crows, rooks and swallows. We also see wild deer, hares, rabbits, foxes and plenty of badger setts, as well as a plethora of insects, butterflies and moths.

The ancient hilltop of Small Down Knoll rises above the landscape, providing spectacular 360 degree views from the top. The site is situated on the St. Mary ley line which runs all the way to the nearby Glastonbury Tor.

‘Lovely site nestled in the rolling green hills. Set up for an experience of nature with wildflowers and herbs bursting from the margins. If you like to be overlooked by no-one except for wagtails, swallows and wheeling buzzards then this is the place for you. Just try not to disturb the badgers.’

Will Gould

‘Beautiful secluded spot in the valley – next to a stream with banks of wild garlic…and badgers! Swifts, goldfinches, and countless other birds in the hedgerows. A balm for the soul.’

Zoe Palmer

‘Beautiful spot for a camping trip. Surrounded by nature with every thing needed for a great weekend away.’

Jake Kush

‘What a spot! Stunning views and so peaceful. We saw hares, roe deer, buzzards and kites on our lovely nature-filled day. Highly recommended.’

Kara Berry

Most beautiful place to camp. Loads of wildflowers, long grasses and gorgeous views, but also lots of water taps, a shower, a flushing toilet and two compost toilets so just the right balance between wild/amenities.
